Tarati is a strategy board game developed by Agustín Gomila. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

• Account information: username (required) and email address (optional — only needed for password recovery).
• Gameplay data: moves, game results, ratings (Glicko-2), achievements, and game history.
• Profile data: display name, country, bio, and visibility preferences you set voluntarily.
• IP address: used temporarily for rate-limiting authentication requests. Not stored persistently.

2. How we use your data

• To provide the Tarati online service (matchmaking, ratings, leaderboards, social features).
• To send password-reset emails when you request them.
• To detect and prevent abuse (spam accounts, cheating).

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share limited data with these third-party services to operate:

• Sentry (sentry.io) — error monitoring. May receive error details and IP addresses when the app crashes.
• Resend (resend.com) — transactional email. Receives your email address only when you request a password-reset link.

4. Data retention

Your account data is stored as long as your account exists. Guest accounts inactive for more than 24 hours are automatically deleted. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Online settings → Delete account; all associated data is removed immediately.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Use the in-app account deletion option or contact us at the email below.

6. Children

Tarati is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
